Rebecca Rassier
Coordinator
rrassier@class.cla.umn.edu

Rebecca joined the IDP office in December 2004 after having advised students in the CLA Communications and Media student community for four years. Before coming to the University of Minnesota, she worked for the Higher Education Consortium for Urban Affairs (HECUA)-be sure to ask her about these excellent interdisciplinary off-campus programs or study abroad! Her interest in the interdisciplinarity of knowledge took root during her graduate studies in French at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her dissertation explores the boundaries of history and literature by using historiography as source for contextually grounded questions about representations of women in eighteenth-century French literature.

Kathryn Kluegel
Adviser
kkluegel@class.cla.umn.edu

Kathryn joined the Individualized Degree Programs staff in August 2004 as a full-time adviser. After graduating from CLA with an IDIM major, Kathryn worked in San Francisco with an advertising agency and the San Francisco Film Festival. She then went on to do graduate work at Rutgers University in New Jersey, where she taught courses in cultural anthropology and sex/gender studies. Her doctoral research focuses on contemporary images of male bodies and masculinity in the United States.
