Finishing Up
After you have registered for your final courses, be sure to check your APAS report to make sure your registration lines up with your approved program (at this point, your APAS should be "green"). Any changes to your program must be approved by the BIS/IDIM office. You are encouraged to meet with your CLA adviser to
confirm that you have met all the degree requirements (it is your CLA
advising community that clears you for your degree, not the BIS/IDIM
office), especially if your APAS report shows that you have not completed any requirements. Finally, be sure to apply to graduate online before the deadline (usually the third week of the semester).
Submit your
Analytic Paper or Senior Project paperwork to the BIS/IDIM office no
later than two weeks after the last class day of the term you intend to
graduate (see the BIS/IDIM office for the exact date for that term).
Complete the last courses in your program with grades of C- or better.
Once
you have completed the Analytic Paper or Senior Project requirement and
are enrolled in the final course(s) in your BIS or IDIM program, the
BIS/IDIM office will send your BIS/IDIM final clearance to your CLA
advising community. At the end of the term, your CLA student advising
community will verify that you have satisfied all CLA requirements
(e.g., liberal education, second language and credit requirements) and
have earned a C- or better in your BIS/IDIM courses before sending a
final graduation confirmation to the Registrar's office.
